4 a.m. Thunderstorm and Snoring
Mike and I arrived at the motel last night in the dark. Everything appeared wet and shining. Last night was sleep with rain drumming on the roof and the dulled bursts of lightening sneaking around the motel drapes. We have a huge window that looks out toward the woods. At 4 a.m. the forecast was thunder and snoring.
This morning Mike reported one goose in parking lot and churning sand in the Lake. It is 10:15 in the morning but it is not full daylight heavy cloud coverage but for now the rain has ceased. We will soon be out adventuring.
On the trip here we stopped at Agate Falls and went up on the trestle to snap photos. I played with exposure for the firts time and the fog was rising thru the treetops. I found a small birds nest intricately woven and vacated.
We also stopped at Antonios and the waitress remembered me as the tick lady from out trip in May. I found three ticks on me in the course of a hamburgers and onion rings!
