My First Oriole

IMOBYOriolecloser_0223 copy

This is my first photo of an oriole and the first to land in our yard. I am as proud as this pretty guy looks. The birds have been pretty happy around here this spring. Having leaves on the trees and blossoms everywhere. Sure beats that year we had hail strip the trees practically bare.

  1. Aren’t they great?? We had our first orchard oriole this year and the return of the Baltimore Orioles. This was the first year that we put grapefruit and oranges out and they sure love those. Is that grape jelly you are using? I haven’t seen a feeder like that one.

    We love our birdies here!

  2. Yes it is grape jelly! I cannot remember where we got the feeder–I think it was Wild Birds Unlimited for Mike’s birthday last year.
